October 15th to 17th, 2025

Keynote Speakers

Emilia Fridman,
Ph.D.

Emilia Fridman, Professor, Ph.D., is a distinguished scholar specializing in advanced control theory, particularly in the analysis and control of time-delay systems and robust control. She is recognized for her pioneering contributions to Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional methods, which have significantly advanced stability and performance analyses for engineering systems under uncertainties and disturbances. Holding leadership positions in various professional societies, she is widely acclaimed for her impact on control theory, with applications that span networked systems to complex industrial processes.

Stephanie Gil,
Ph.D.

Stephanie Gil, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, where she leads research on multi-robot systems, distributed autonomy, and robust perception. After postdoctoral work at MIT’s CSAIL, her pioneering contributions focus on collective decision-making, resilient coordination, and large-scale autonomous systems. She remains active in academic and professional communities, advancing robotics solutions for real-world applications ranging from drone coordination to disaster response.

Héctor Ramírez, Ph.D.

Héctor Ramírez, Ph.D., is a distinguished researcher in control and automation systems, born in Tomé, Chile, in 1981. He earned his degrees from the University of Concepción (UdeC) and University Claude Bernard Lyon 1. Currently, he is an associate professor at the Technical University Federico Santa María (UTFSM) and deputy director at AC3E, focusing on port-Hamiltonian systems and multi-physical systems modeling and control.

Johannes Schiffer, Ph.D.

Johannes Schiffer, Prof. Dr.-Ing., is a distinguished researcher specializing in distributed control and monitoring of complex networks, particularly in smart energy systems and hybrid-electric propulsion. He holds leadership roles in various professional societies and is renowned for his contributions to stability analysis and control methodologies in microgrids.
